I’ve worked in the mental health and addictions field for 13 years. I’ve been rewarded by helping folks move beyond feeling “stuck”, to feeling empowered and confident in taking a swing at life’s curveballs.
Types of therapy: I incorporate several therapeutic theories in my work, with a strong emphasis on Dialectical Behavior Therapy: finding the balance between acceptance and change.
Education and Credentials: I am a Registered Social Worker and a member of the OCSWSSW and OASW. I have a social work degree from King’s University College, and an addictions certificate and a DBT certificate from Wilfrid Laurier University, alongside a host of other psychotherapy trainings.
