Whatever you think you know about dietitians-throw that out the window!
That’s NOT me!
I love salt and vinegar chips.
I drink whisky.
I swear. A lot!
I care about how you feel when you eat.
I care about how you feel about what you eat.
I care about how eating makes your body feel.
I'm all about food therapy and trusting our bodies!
I have been a Registered Dietitian for over 20 years, having graduated from Ryerson University and completing my internship in Barrie, Ontario. I have experience working with all age groups and with all types of nutritional concerns. I can help you navigate your nutritional needs without getting caught up in current nutrition ‘hype’ - finding the stuff that works for you, your body, and your whole self!
Food and eating are very personal and emotionally charged topics. Sorting through all of this stuff is hard work. This sounds like nutrition therapy because that is what it is. As we progress through our work, it may get very intense and may require social work support. Please feel comfort in knowing that I have much experience in knowing when that is.
If we are going to focus on health, I believe it is necessary to focus on whole-self-health! We can live better lives with chronic health conditions when we let go of the idea that weight loss will fix everything and actually focus on healthy habits and healthy thoughts! This is a ‘health at every size’ approach to living well.
